My Spark starts about one year ago, I saw myself as a follower of Christ living daily for him, having good friends who were there when I needed them. I’m pretty close with all of my friends and was always there for them when I could be. I soon went off to school, a nine month discipleship school. It was a very good experience in daily Christian disciplines, so I was usually always busy. I soon got out only to find that while I was away a lot had happened with my closest friends. As their parents were going through a divorce and as the temptation of the world stepped in they began to fall, not as a slow fade but over weeks. I didn’t realize how much toll was on there life until i witnessed it myself.

Within a couple of weeks, one of my friend denied Christ and din’t believe in his existence any longer. He was even forcing himself to break away from daily disciplines which I had learned (praying daily, etc.) He picked up alcohol, cigarettes, and cursing. This broke me drastically, it hurt to know that a close friend of mine was going through a terrible withdraw in his own life.

So I thought and prayed asking God to GUIDE me in this situation and and to SHOW me the way to confront this, or help my friend. God spoke saying you need to be the GUIDE and SHOW him the difference in which you have received me, show his as an example my loving kindness. After prayer and faithfulness my friend has decided not to consume alcohol, and leave those worldly things behind. He saw MORE in the example I portrayed than in tobacco or alcohol. To this day I pray and live my life living for Christ as an example to his people and to the souls in need of his love.
