Six years ago I was very excited to have my very first child, we had been praying for him for 2 years. My husband and I decided that I would stay home even though it meant we had to collect welfare. For several years my husband went from job to job trying to provide for us. Little did we know that in that time the only one providing for us was God.

We remained diligent in our tithing and held fast to our church. In those few years God taught me so much through the faithful reading of his word(Yes even when I didn’t feel like it). I began to pray for my husband daily that God would open his eyes as he was mine. Then we once again found ourselves in the poor house ready to declare bankruptcy and throw away our dream of ever buying a house but this time something was different. My husband and I both had peace and faith we could not have imagined. God brought us full circle to show us exactly where we had come from. Habakkuk 1:5… and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told. This is the only explanation for what was to follow. During our time once again on welfare we kept getting money from nowhere. Such as a 401K from an old job and family deciding to make a difference and so many other blessings that poured on us. Some how instead of declaring bankruptcy we were able to better our situation so that by the time my husband found a job we were more than able to chip away at our debt piece by piece. Now I am sitting here a year later closer to God than ever and the best part is my husband is right here with me. It took a lot of trials but God finally showed us how to be faithful no matter the circumstance. I pray that in the toughest times in your life you decide to look up because the rewards of the heart are more than any person could ask for.
