Content Policy

1. What's welcome here

• True first-person testimonies. Your story, told by you, about what actually happened in your life. It doesn't need to be dramatic or polished — it needs to be yours and true.
• Sparks. Short daily posts (up to 300 characters) of praise or prayer requests — a moment of gratitude, a burden you're carrying, a small answered prayer.
• Encouragement. Comments that lift people up: prayer, empathy, celebration, "me too."
• Stories still in progress. Testimonies don't have to end in resolution. "I'm still in it, and here's where God is meeting me" is a testimony.

2. Your identity, your call

We honor how you choose to show up:

• Post under your full name, first name only, or a pseudonym — protecting your privacy never counts against you.
• You may change names and identifying details of other people in your story to protect them (and we encourage it — see Section 4).
• What you may not do is impersonate a real person or claim someone else's experience as your own.

3. What's not allowed

• Fabricated testimonies. Invented, exaggerated-beyond-recognition, plagiarized, or AI-generated stories presented as real experience. This is the heart of the platform; violating it is the most serious content offense here.
• Fundraising, solicitation, and MLM. No donation links, crowdfunding appeals, product sales, affiliate links, recruiting for multi-level marketing, or using a testimony as a sales funnel. (Mentioning that a church or charity was part of your story is fine; asking for money is not.)
• Political campaigning. No campaigning for candidates, parties, or ballot measures, and no framing testimonies as political persuasion. Your faith story is welcome; electioneering is not.
• Medical claims presented as advice. You may share your genuine experience of healing. You may not tell others to stop treatment, skip medication, refuse care for themselves or their children, or present your experience as a treatment protocol. "God healed me" is a testimony; "so throw away your insulin" is a policy violation.
• Hate and harassment. No attacks or demeaning content targeting people for race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, disability, or any other characteristic; no bullying, mocking, or pile-ons — including against people of other faiths or no faith.
• Explicit content. No sexually explicit material or gratuitous graphic violence. Stories may honestly reference hard things (addiction, abuse, trauma) without graphic detail; our moderators will help you find that line.
• Doxxing. Never publish someone's private information — full name (without consent), address, phone number, workplace, or anything else that identifies a private person who didn't agree to be identified.
• Spam. No repetitive posting, link schemes, engagement bait, or bulk-generated content.
• Anything illegal under applicable law.

4. Media consent (photos and video)

• If a recognizable person appears in a photo you upload — or in video, once we support it — that person must have consented to appearing on GodSparx.
• For anyone under 18 appearing in media, a parent or legal guardian's consent is required.
• By uploading media, you confirm you have these consents. We may ask you to verify, and we'll remove media promptly if someone pictured asks us to.
• When in doubt, crop, blur, or leave people out. A story doesn't need faces to be powerful.

5. Crisis and sensitive content

Some of the most important testimonies involve suicide, self-harm, or abuse. We don't turn those stories away — we handle them with extra care:

• Sensitive-content screens. Stories involving suicide, self-harm, or abuse are published behind a gentle notice so readers can choose when they're ready.
• Crisis resources. We attach resources to these stories (in the US: call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline; the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233; the Childhelp Hotline at 1-800-422-4453).
• We may reach out. If a submission suggests you might be in danger right now, a real person from our team may email you to check in and share resources. This comes from care, not surveillance.
• We don't publish content that provides methods or instructions for self-harm, romanticizes it, or identifies abusers by name in ways that could endanger anyone (including the storyteller).

6. How enforcement works

Every testimony and spark is reviewed by a human before it's published — that's our first and best line of care. When something misses the mark, we start gentle and escalate only as needed:

1. Editor's note. For small issues, we may suggest an edit or publish with a light editorial note, working with you rather than around you.
2. Decline with warmth. If a submission can't run as-is, we'll tell you why, kindly and specifically, and — whenever possible — how to revise and resubmit. A declined story is not a strike against you.
3. Removal. Published content later found to violate this policy is removed, and we'll notify you with the reason.
4. Account action. Repeated or serious violations lead to a warning, temporary suspension, or — for the most severe cases (fabrication schemes, threats, exploitation, endangering a minor) — permanent account termination, which may skip the earlier steps.

7. Appeals

Any moderation decision can be appealed. Email hello@godsparx.com with the subject "Appeal," tell us which decision you're appealing and why you believe it was wrong, and a human — a different set of eyes than the original decision where possible — will review it and reply within 7 days. If we got it wrong, we'll say so and fix it.

8. Reporting

If you see content that violates this policy, use the report option on the post or email hello@godsparx.com. Reports are confidential — the person you report is never told who reported them. See the Community Guidelines for what happens after you report.

9. Changes to this policy

As GodSparx grows (video, new features), this policy will grow too. We'll update the date at the top and flag meaningful changes on the site. Questions or gray areas: hello@godsparx.com — asking first is always welcome.
